1Who we are
Ambrose Charity Foundation (“we”, “us”) is a faith-rooted charity based in Jinja City, Eastern Region, Uganda. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it and the choices you have.

2Information we collect
We collect only what we need to serve you and the people we help:
- Information you give us — your name, email address, phone number and message when you use our contact form or write to us.
- Newsletter sign-ups — your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
- Donation information — your name, contact details, the amount and a payment reference, so we can thank you and send a receipt.
- Volunteer and prayer requests — anything you choose to share with us when you offer help or ask for prayer.
- Technical information — browser type, device, approximate location and pages visited, collected through standard web server records.
Where a payment is handled by a mobile money, card or bank provider, that provider processes your payment details under its own privacy policy.
3How we use your information
- To reply to your questions and requests.
- To process and acknowledge donations, and to send receipts and reports.
- To send you updates and our newsletter, only if you have asked for them.
- To run, protect and improve our programmes and this website.
- To meet our legal and reporting obligations.
4Photos and stories of the people we serve
We treat the stories and photographs of widows, elders and especially children with great care. We aim to publish identifiable images or stories only with the consent of the person or, for a child, a parent or guardian, and we avoid sharing details that could put anyone at risk.
If you appear in a photo on this site and would like it removed, contact us and we will act on your request promptly.
5Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- payment providers, to process your donation;
- service providers who help us run our website and email, under appropriate safeguards;
- authorities, where the law requires us to; and
- partners, but only with your consent.
6Third-party services and links
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons and scripts from content delivery networks such as jsDelivr and unpkg. These providers may receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests those files.
Our pages link to services such as Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp. Those services have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
7Keeping your information safe
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and we take reasonable steps to protect it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8Your rights
In line with Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you may ask us to give you access to your personal information, correct it, or delete it. You may also object to certain uses or withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our newsletter.

9Children and this website
This website is meant for adults. If you believe a child has given us personal information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Please check back occasionally.
